Scope of the project
The company is a leading business model in Netherlands. They do have a planning system which was developed 10 years back in DOS environment with multi user access.
Business Need
Our main purpose was to create a system, which can do "Production Planning" with the latest technology like .Net 2.0 with AJAX support and database using MSSQL 2000.
Challenges Faced
- Data import from old DOS application to the normalized 3-NF database in MSSQL.
- Convince users, who were having experience only in DOS / Desktop applications, the advantages and limitations of web application.
- Finalizing the web layout to meet Web 2.0 Standards.
- Multi language support on .Net 2005.
- Project to be executed with a Product concept with framework to be integrated to any similar production planning.
